Around the World: Great White North
by Emily Carroll
Pack the toque. Lace up the skates. We’re heading north.
Knobby’s Around the World journey continues with Great White North, a celebration of Canada packed with some of the country’s most recognisable icons, all given the unmistakable Sindy Sinn treatment.
Maple leaves, moose, bears, hockey skates, curling stones, cabins, salmon, snowflakes and a healthy dose of maple syrup collide in a print that feels like Canada turned all the way up.
Designed once again by Australian illustrator Sindy Sinn, Great White North is the next passport stamp in our Around the World series.
Available in men’s and women’s styles.

O Canada!
There’s a lot more to Canada than maple syrup and saying sorry. but we weren’t about to leave either off the moodboard.
Great White North takes the familiar symbols of Canadian life and throws them together in one seriously packed print.
There’s hockey for the rink rats. Curling for the sweepers. Cabins and igloos for when the temperature drops. Moose, bears and salmon representing some of Canada’s most recognisable wildlife.
And, naturally, enough maple leaves to make absolutely sure you know where we’ve landed.
Set against black with hits of classic red, white and grey, it’s unmistakably Canadian without simply wrapping you in a flag.

Meet the Artist: Sindy Sinn
If the style looks familiar, there’s a good reason.
Sindy Sinn is back for another stop on our Around the World tour.
The Australian illustrator and mural artist was also behind our USA design, Stars and Stripes, bringing his signature combination of punchy graphics, nostalgic iconography and densely packed details to the collection.
For Great White North, Sindy turned his attention to Canada, building a visual checklist of the things that make the country instantly recognisable.
Look once and you’ll see the maple leaf.
Look again and you might spot the Mountie hat, curling stone, bottle of maple syrup or tiny Swiss-inspired chalet tucked amongst the chaos.
That’s half the fun of a Sindy Sinn print, there’s always something else hiding in there.

From the USA to the Great White North
Our last stop took us through the Stars and Stripes of the USA.
This time, we’ve crossed the border.
The Around the World series is our way of celebrating different destinations through the eyes of artists, taking the places, traditions and cultural icons people know and turning them into something you probably wouldn’t find in your average travel guide.
Or your average undie drawer.
Every destination gets its own personality. Every artist gets their own interpretation.
And every stop gives us another excuse to make some ridiculously fun underwear.
