Inspiration

The Artist
This special edition was illustrated by Cara Jane Diffey, a Sydney-based artist and designer known for her bold, clean and energetic graphic style.
Cara’s work balances simplicity with personality, creating characters and visuals that feel fun, expressive and instantly recognisable. For Dumpling Dynasty, she brought a playful edge to familiar food icons, turning everyday favourites into characters with attitude.
Her approach makes the design feel lighthearted without losing impact, perfectly capturing the humour, warmth and chaos that sits at the heart of this collection.
Design
This print doesn’t play it safe.
Dumplings skate, tumble, fight back and get squashed between chopsticks. Soy sauce dares you to Dip or Die. Nothing sits still; everything’s in motion.
The palette is warm and punchy, leaning into reds, creams and spicy tones that feel right at home for Lunar-inspired dining and Valentine’s heat. Every detail is designed to spark appetite, both literal and otherwise.
