Knobby and Pirate Life are back with a brand-new set of limited-edition, beer-inspired undies, and for the record, they’re iconic AF...
Wrapped in legendary symbols from PL’s ten-year journey, ‘The Icons’ pair are a perfect fit for jock and froth lovers everywhere. You’ll spot flying peacocks and towering tinnies, all atop Knobby’s classic ‘Trunk’ and ‘Cheeky Bikini’ cuts. How good.
‘The Icons’ collaboration undies celebrate a decade of legendary symbols from Pirate Life Brewing. Here’s a peek at a few of our faves...
Pirate Life Flag
The Pirate Life Flag was their first creation, well before a single beer was brewed. They flew it high across the Nullarbor (PL’s founding trek from Perth to Adelaide in 2014) before planting it firmly in the dirt at 89 South Road. It cuts the skyline proudly to this day.
Crumpled IIPA
The IIPA (or DIPA, as it's affectionately known) was Pirate Life’s first-ever beer. Big, bold, and bitter, it put us on the map back in 2015, transforming Australia’s froth landscape forever. The recipe is still the same, and that’ll never change.
Skele Head
The PL beloved mascot, ‘Skele’, has seen it all. Long nights in the cellar, epic sessions with the crew, and everything in between. In the decade we’ve known him, he’s not spoken once, but that’s probably for the best. After all, what happens at the brewery...
Peacock
When the PL team moved to 18 Baker Street, Port Adelaide in 2018, the first thing they did was cover the building’s south-facing wall in a mural – because they love art. Mike Makatron slapped the forty-metre peacock up in just five days. What an iconic piece.
Lab sign
This humble wooden sign was hand-cut, scribed, and hung over the lab at Pirate Life's founding brewery in Hindmarsh. Today, ten years on, it graces a new door at PLHQ, reminding us to shoot for quality at every turn. Plus, it looks cool AF.
Dodge
The Pirate Life custom-built 1950s Dodge Mail Van is a legitimate work of art. V8 under the hood, South Coast wrap, plus four taps pouring off the side, it looks good wherever cars get parked. This includes (though isn’t exclusive to) the Baker Street brewery. Vroom vroom.
Dalgety Woolstore
The crowning jewel of Port Adelaide’s industrial landscape, Dalgety’s Woolstore opened in 1938. PL rocked up a few years later in 2018 and filled it with heaps of cool brewery stuff. Now it’s Pirate Life’s primary production facility, hospitality HQ, and (most importantly) spiritual home.
